My name is Donna Alfisi, and I am very happy to introduce my self as Windham Center School's new school psychologist. While I am new to WCS, I have worked for the district as a psychologist since 2001, after having done my internship at Windham High School. I will be at WCS on Tuesday, Thursdays, and every other Monday for this school year (2017-2018).
A little about me: I have two amazing sons, two wonderful daughters-in-law, and three terrific grandchildren. I grew up in the Bronx until 8th grade when my family moved to New Jersey. I lived in NJ until I moved to Connecticut in1997. My family is from Italy (my dad's family) and from Ireland (my mom's family). I grew up enjoying traditions from both sides of my family, particularly at the holidays. There is no question that my favorite Italian food is pizza!
One of my heroes is Mary Robinson, who was the first female president of Ireland. She has gone on to continue to work advocating for human rights and education. She is a true role model for me.
I look forward to the rest of the year with my WCS family.
